Keep shop and market stock separate – SET AND FORGET
- In our early days when running both online and markets we removed all our stock on a Friday evening from the sites, packed the trailer and go to market on Saturday. Then we spent the whole of Sunday to reload remaining stock back onto our sites. It was time-consuming.
- We soon learnt to keep our online and market/shop stock separate. When needed we simply transferred stock between the two. Not only did we not have to deal with angry customers purchasing items that indeed were sold and out of stock and we could not deliver (mistakes do happen), but we now loved the free time we now had on Friday evenings and Sundays!
