Stack them high and let them fly – EVERY DAY!
- We have been in e-commerce since 2012. One of the first distributors we approach to open an account with for purchasing stock from, gave us the following advice: “Stack them high and let them fly”. He did not mention anything about the price but the concept would be that the more you purchase, the lower your costs, and the better you profit.
- HOWEVER, what he meant is that the more stock you have, the more you sell. We tried to prove him wrong on so many occasions and we failed time-after-time. KEEP ADDING STOCK, as often as possible. We sell books on behalf of a charity. We aim to have at least 1000 to 1500 books available online, with long-term targets much higher than that. AND, the sad part, whenever our stock count drops to below 750-800 we notice it, sales drop. The only reason for that is because we did not stack them high…
